She was born April 1, 1902, at Spencer, the daughter of James and Elizabeth Meadows Kiser. She was thrice married, first to Luther Ooley who died in 1935; second to John Nelson who died in 1966, and third to John B. Able on January 10, 1977 and he survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Paul Ooley of Route 13, Bedford and Leroy Ooley of Fort Wayne, IN; two daughters, Mrs. Roy (Ann) Gardner of Redlands, CA, and Mrs. James (Betty) Padgett of Phoenix, AZ; four step-children, John B. Nelson of Lebanon, IN; Mrs. Ralph (Nellie Mae) Shidler of Marengo Valley, CA; Mrs. Roswell (Ruth) Williams of Eau Claire, WI and Mrs. Bernard (Esther) Lancaster of Bloomington; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Ray (Louise) Sims of Odon, a niece, was raised by Mrs. Able. Four brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Christian Church and the Senior Citizens Club.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home with Brother Ed Williams and the Rev. Robert Cueni officiating. Burial will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home any time.
