Harry L. Baker, 91, 704 W. 12th St., died yesterday at Dukes Hospital.
He was a former resident of Jefferson Twp. in Cass County. He was born May 3, 1886, in Waupecong to John and Jennie Burton Whisman. He was married July 3, 1907, in Young America to Edith Stafford, who died Jan. 8, 1962. He was married July 14, 1963, to Ruth Johnson, who survives.
He was retired from the American Motor Co., Kenosha, Wis., and was a member and elder of the Grace Missionary Church in Zion, Ill. He had attended the Church of God in Peru and was a lifetime member of the Gideon Society.
Surviving are a son, Paul of Zion, Ill.; a daughter, Leona Flurry of Royal Center; a step son, Don Johnson of Rochester, Mich.; six grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and four step grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Harrison Garden Chapel in Royal Center, where friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday. (bio by: Paula D)
