Dan Coker

Funeral service for Seminole resident, Dan Coker will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Coker Family Cemetery with Revs. Dorsey Nero and Houston Tiger officiating, under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home. Wake services will be held at Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11.

Coker passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003, at the age of 49 at Integris Baptist Medical Center. He was born on March 21, 1954, in Seminole to Barney and Katie West Coker. He attended school at Pleasant Grove School and after high School he enlisted in the U.S. Marines, receiving an award for expert markmanship. He retired as a laborer in 1994 due to a disability. Coker was proceeded in death by his parents Barney and Katie Coker; his brothers, Barney Coker Jr., and Jesse Coker; and one sister Shirley Henneha Survivors include one son, Anthony Stumblingbear of Oklahoma City; six sisters, Martha Flippin, Margie Stalnaker, Juliet Hopper, Jane Northcott and Rosetta Coley, all of Seminole, and Daisy Marshall of Tulsa. Pallbearers will be his nephews. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Hopper, Ocie York, Randy Ahhaitty, Thompson Postoak, David Jones, Richard Cole, Dave Coley, Fred Combs and Benny Lena.
