The sad new of the death of Mrs. Andrew Adamson was a shock to many, for she was sick seriously but a short time before she passed away at the Swedish hospital in Minneapolis on July 20th. The cause of death was cancer of the stomach.
Christine Johnson Adamson was born in Varmland, Sweden, on April 15, 1885. She was married in St. Paul on December 14th, 1884. She leaves to mourn her, her husband, and five children; four daughters, Mrs. Sandell of Washington; Jennie, Cecelia, and Laura, and one son, Edward all at home. She is also survived by one brother Nels N. Warnberg of Andre, one sister, Mrs. Strouck living in St. Paul, and a brother and a sister in Sweden. There are also two grand-children.
The funeral service were conducted at the Mission Church, Rev. Andrew Sjoberg officiating. Music was rendered by Misses Esther Furtan and Erica Gustafson, who endered a beautiful duet. Miss Esther Furtan also sang a solo. The pallbearers were Karl Anderson, A.P. Olson, Nels Olson, Alfred Peterson, Frank Johnson, and Erland Bloom.
All the children were present except Mrs. Sandell. Mrs. Adamson shall be greatly missed not only in the home but in social life, for she was not only a good mother but a faithful church worker and a real Christian. The Adamson family has the symapthy of the entire community in their great sorrow.
