WALNUT COVE –Thomas Stewart Anderson, 82, passed away Friday, September 20, 2013 at Piney Grove Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born November 30, 1930 in Forsyth Co. to the late Holland and Sophia Everhart Anderson.

Mr. Anderson was a United States Air Force Veteran and a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church where he taught Sunday school. Thomas loved his church, enjoyed sports, and loved coaching little league baseball.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Mabe Anderson; two brothers, Holland Anderson, Jr., and Ed Mitchell; and two sisters, Betty Roland and Vera Whisenhut.


Surviving are two sons, Randall (Susan) Anderson, and Nathan (Tina) Anderson all of Kernersville; four grandchildren he dearly loved, Sydney, Ben, Jordan, and Stacie Anderson; one sister, Ola A. Wiedner.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 22, 2013 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Walnut Cove with Rev. Luke Roland and Dr. Larry Kimmel officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
