Emil Korbelik was born on a farm a mile and a half southwest of Milligan, November 16, 1875. He was the oldest of the eight children of Joseph and Anna Korbelik. His brothers and sisters, all except the one who died in infancy, survive him.
April 19, 18999, he was united in marriage to Miss Kate Kubicek, and this union was blessed with eight children. James, the oldest died in infancy. He spent all of his life on a farm,. For many hears the farm southwest of Milligan, later moving to near Chugwater, Wyo., where the family took a homestead and farmed for twelve years. In 1922 he moved back to the farm near Milligan and in 1931 the family moved onto a farm in Colorado, near Kanorado, Kas.
He had been ailing about a year, going through much suffering during his illness. Death came to relieve him from his suffering when he passed away Saturday morning,
October 5, 1938 in Burlington, Col., where he had been under a doctor's care for a long time. He was 62 years, 10 months, and 29 days old.
Those surviving him are his wife, a daughter; Mrs. Emma Havel, and six sons, James a, Emil Jr., Lee, Adolph, Sylvester, and Arvil., all of whom were her for the funeral with the exception of Arvil, who visited his father shortly prior to his death.
