Mrs. Mary Koca, wife of Josseph Koca, passed away Monday, May 2, 1927. For a number of years she had been afflicted with a mental derangement which made it necessary that she be kept under constant surveilance(sic). By the tenderest of care and the vligance(sic) of members of the family, it was psooible to keep her at home, where of course, she was more contented than she could have been elsewhere.
The deceased, Mary Koca, nee Chlup, was born in Ondrejov, okes Kralvice in Bohemia. She came to this country as a child with her parents, who settled in Bridgewood, Ill., where many of our people were engaged in mining. From there, they moved to Saunders county in Nebraska, whre she married Joseph Koca and thereupon came to make her home here. Five children were born of this wedlock, of whom four are living, two sons, James and Cyril; and two daughters, Agnes, and Mrs. Mollie Podlesak.
The deceased was born September 24, 1867. She died at the age of 59 years, 7 months and 21 days. Besides her children, she is survived by her husband, brothers Charles and James; and sisters, Mrs. Michalek, and Mrs. Cekal. The body was interred in the west cemtery in the presence of many relatives and friends.
