David Rodriguez, Sr.
Age 92, a resident of Ojito passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on May 30, 2009 after a short illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tranquilino and Juanita Rodriguez; beloved wife, Julia Rodriguez; daughter, JoAnn Lopez; son, David Rodriguez, Jr.; two infant babies, boy and girl; brother, Willie Rodriguez; and granddaughter, Doreen Rodriguez. David was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather. He worked as a logger, bus driver and retired from the State Highway Department. He was very well known and loved by many. He is survived by his daughter, Nora Rodriguez of Ojito, adopted daughter, Lori True and husband Douglas of Arkansas; stepdaughter, Nary Valdez and husband Abel of Utah; companion Dulcinia Tafoya of Llano; special granddaughter, Julie Archuleta of Ojito; grandchildren, Barbara Chaves and husband Walter of Alcalde; Sandra Bustos and husband Manuel of Ranchitos; Pat Gene Archuleta and wife Nadine of Alcalde; Patricio Lopez and wife Clara of Peņasco; Loretta Duran of Las Vegas, NM; David Rodriguez III and companion Tyann of Ojito; brothers, Bialquin Rodriguez of Taos, and Enoch Rodriguez and wife Estolia of Espaņola; sister, Priscilla Martinez and husband Roger of Llano; 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. The following will serve as pallbearers, Pat Gene Archuleta, Sandra Bustos, Barbara Chaves, Julie Archuleta, Patricio Lopez, Loretta Duran and David Rodriguez III. Honorary pallbearers are David's grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchild. The family of David Rodriguez, Sr. has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espaņola Valley
