Silas S. Bish, 94, of Mahoning RD1, died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 1968, in Armsdale Home, Rural Valley Road.
Born February 24, 1874, in Madison Township, Armstrong County, he was a son of Joseph and Suzanna Porter Bish.
During his lifetime, Mr. Bish was an employee of the old Kittanning Iron and Ore Mill Furnace, located in the First Ward of Kittanning.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Carrie Kissinger Bish of Kittanning; two daughters, Mrs. Roy (Florence) Shearer of Kittanning RD5 and Mrs. Virginia Cravener of Kittanning; a son, Arnold Bish of Kittanning; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, and a brother, Eli Bish of Deanville.
Funeral Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Alonzo P. Merwin Funeral Home, Kittanning, with Dr. Robert H. Thurau, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, Kittanning, officiating.
Interment was in Kellersburg Lutheran Cemetery.
