Charles A. Hetrick Jr., 82, of 861 Olean Trail, New Bethlehem, Cottage Hill, Porter Township, Clarion County, died at 4:17 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2003, in Clarion Hospital.

Born Jan. 23, 1921, in Kellersburg, Armstrong County, he was the son of Charles A. Hetrick Sr. and Della Bain Hetrick. Mr. Hetrick was a dairy farmer and a co-owner of the Hetrick Farm Supply of New Bethlehem. He was manager for 11 years of the Ed DeVilder Farm in Miola. After that, he moved in 1953 to New Bethlehem where he and his brother, Darl Hetrick, started Hetrick's Farm Supply, a farm equipment dealership. Mr. Hetrick was a member of the Oakland Church of God in Distant. His interests included farm equipment, auctions and the dairy business.

Mr. Hetrick was married in April 1940 to Olive Lucas, who survives.

Also surviving are five sons and their wives, Dean and Lisa Hetrick of Texas, Dale and Charlotte Hetrick of Ohio, Timothy and Rae Hetrick of Florida, Michael and Judy Hetrick and Marc and Sherry Hetrick, all of New Bethlehem; four daughters, Judy Smith and husband, Edward, Penny Kunselman and husband, Thomas, and Janet Musser, all of New Bethlehem, and Cindy Hetrick of Oregon; 20 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

He also is survived by a brother, Darl Hetrick of New Bethlehem. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hetrick was preceded in death by six sisters, Eva Mohney, Hilda Wolfe, Leah Moore, Martha Jane Hetrick, Ruth Hetrick and Helen Hetrick; and two brothers, Theodore Hetrick and Dale Hetrick.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday in the Charles D. Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. James Swogger, pastor of the Oakland Church of God in Distant, officiating.

Interment will be in the Kellersburg Lutheran Cemetery, Madison Township, Armstrong County.
