Mildred Louise Alexander, born May 10, 1919, a native of Scott County, died February 23, 2009 at Signature HealthCare Facility. She was the widow of the late William L. Alexander. She was predeceased by her son, Thomas D. Alexander, parents Henry B. and Josie L. Jones, six brothers and three sisters. She leaves behind a daughter, Peggy (Ralph) Cobb, of Oolitic, IN, two sons, Charles (Barbara) Alexander, of Georgetown, KY, John Alexander, of Georgetown, KY, fourteen grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and numerous other friends and family, including close friends Kathy McFarland and Lloyd and Jennie Dunn. She was a member of the United Church of God.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Friday, February 27, 2009 at Tucker, Yocum, & Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. John Jessup officiating. Burial will be in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens, casket bearers are John H. Jones, Mike Clark Sr., David Cobb, Rodger Black, Robert L. Alexander, and Tony R. Alexander. Honorary bearers are Lloyd Dunn, Sam Kite, Jerry Jones, and Mike Clark Jr. Visitation will be 1PM Friday at the funeral home.
