Gordon Alley Rites To Be Held Today
Funeral services for Gordon Dale Alley, 30, will be held Thursday, November 15, Alley was killed in an auto accident at Wheeler Tuesday, November 13. Services will be in the First Baptist Church of Wheeler at 3:00 p.m., with pastor, Rev. Jerry Parker, presiding.
Burial will be in the Wheeler Cemetery under the direction of Wright Funeral Home.
Mrs. [sic] Alley was born to Fred Emanuel Alley and Geraldine Virginia Edom Alley in Red Bud, Illinois, on December 4, 1953. He married Janice Marie on March 27, 1972 in Hattiesburg Miss, to this union was born two daughters and one son. The family moved to Wheeler from Lincoln, Ill., in 1975 and made their home at 503 Red River.
Mr. Alley was employed by Bracken Exploration Co. of Oklahoma City.
Survivors include the wife; one son, Daniel D; two daughters, Tina M. and Wendy L; his mother, Mrs. Geraldine V. Alley of Denhen Springs, La.; and twelve brothers and sisters, Amy Burhmester and Erskin Alley of Lincoln, Ill., Charles Alley of Fort Smith, Ark., Larry Alley of Ill., JoAnn Kates, Ronald Alley of Wheeler, Olan Alley, Arlene Haley, Donna Cutrer Vicky Parker, Sue White, and Shirlie Hashman, all of Denhen Springs, La.
Pallbearer [sic] will be Dave McCathey, Tom Swigart, Glen Carter, Ron Thorton, Cecil Hess, Danny Weers, Steve Patton and Paul Hashman.
Honorary pallbearers will be James Thompson, Bill Alley, Scott McCathey and Bill Gill.
