Deacon George Clark, Jr.
(October 1, 1942 - June 12, 2006)

Deacon George Clark, Jr. son of the late Mr. George and Mrs. Mary Clark was born in the county of Madison in the city of New Market, Alabama on October 1, 1942.

He confessed hope in Christ and joined St. Bartley Primitive Baptist Church under the pastorate of the late Elder Dr. V. Castle Stewart. He remained faithful in the offices of Deacon and other various positions until his health began to fail.

He was employed with the Marks-Fitzgerald furniture company for over thirty years as a warehouse manager.

George leaves to cherish his memory: three sons, Pastor Perry Clark and Michael Anthony both of Huntsville, Alabama, Gerry Clark of Courtland, New York; step-father, Connie Brown of Huntsville, Alabama; a loving sister, Carolyn (Henry) Ford of Virginia Beach, Virginia; a loving friend, Hattie Clark of Huntsville, Alabama; two aunts, Betty Huggins and Brenda Lipkins of Toledo, Ohio; one uncle, Freddie Hambrick of Huntsville, Alabama; seven grandchildren, one niece, two nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2006 at the St. Bartley Primitive Baptist Church with Pastor William T. Gladys officiating. Interment will be held in the Brandontown Cemetery. Deacon George Clark, Jr. will lie in repose one hour prior to the funeral ceremony.
