Jodi LynneWASHNOCK 43, of Loveland passed away April 19, 2006.
She was born June 20, 1962, in Akron, Ohio, to William W. Washnock and Ann Elizabeth Oyston.
She was a top sales representative working for several companies, including Genzyme and General Foods. She graduated from Shawnee High School in Medford, N.J., and received her B.S. in business management from the University of Denver. She attended Harvard Dance School.
She was a cheerleader in high school and at the University of Denver. She was Miss Wheelchair Colorado and Miss Medford Lakes, a member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority, the founder of the Magic Dance Foundation, wrote a book, ?Dancing On Wheels,? and taught dance classes at the Domestic Violence Center in Denver.
She was a free spirit who loved life, dancing, poetry and all types of music, especially classical. She brought a lot of joy into people?s lives and will be missed by many, many friends.
She is survived by her parents, Bill and Ann Washnock of Loveland; sisters Pamela Ann Washnock of Greeley, Julie Washnock of Boulder, Liz Butler and husband David of San Francisco; nephews, William and David Butler of San Francisco; best friends, Bob and Lisa Dahlen, Valerie Chapman, Shannon Young, Kathleen Chandler; and her assist dog, Lucy.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Helen and Ernest Oyston, William and Sarah Washnock; uncle, William Oyston; and her cat, Griz.
Memorial service and Requiem Eucharist will be 11 a.m. Monday at All Saints? Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Sathi Bunyan officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Magic Dance Foundation in care of Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home, 1102 N. Lincoln Ave., Loveland, CO 80537.
