MT HOREB – Hubert J. Birrenkott, age 88, died on Sunday, November 4, 1984, in a Verona Nursing Home.

Mr. Birrenkott was born in September 21, 1896, at Pine Bluff, Wisconsin. His parents were the late John and Katherine Bollis Birrenkott. Mr. Birrenkott was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church; he was the last surviving member of the John Birrenkott family and was preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters. He was employed by the Dane County Highway Department for many years.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 1984, at 9:30 a.m. at the Ellestad Funeral Home and at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Father R.J. Brophy will officiate. Friends may call on Tuesday, November 6, 1984, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
