WILLIAM J. BURBACK
WESTMORELAND -- William J. Burback, 68, of South Street, died Sunday in the home of his son, Karl Burback, Canastota. Mr. Burback has been in poor health for the past six months.
He was born in New York city, and moved as a child to Verona where he lived until moving to Westmoreland 15 years ago.
Mr. Burback operated his own farm in the Verona - Westmoreland area all his life.
He married Marian Havener in 1916, in Durhamville. She died in 1951.
Mr. Burback was a member of the Church of the Annunciation, Clark Mills
He leaves five daughters, Mrs. LeRoy (Rita) Peer, Rome; Mrs. Leo (Mary) Schreiner, Bridgeport; Mrs. Gordon (Teresa) West Gainesville, Ga; Mrs., Gerald (Veronica) Redmond, Westmoreland, and Mrs. DeForest (Irene) Hinman, Vernon; four sons, Bernard, Cortland; Kenneth, Durhamville; Leo, Madison; and Karl, Canastota; a brother, Joseph Harrison, Oneida.
The funeral will be at 9 Thursday from his home and at 9:30 from the Church of the Annunciation, Clark Mills, where a solemn requiem Mass will be offered. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Irish Ridge.

WILLIAM J. BURBACK
CANASTOTA- William J. Burback, 68, of South. St., Westmoreland, died at the home of his
son, Karl Burback, last night.
He was born in New York City, March 5, 1893, the son of Joseph and Margaret Kennedy
Burback. He moved to Verona in his childhood and made his home there until 15 years ago
when he moved to his present home. He owned and operated farms in the Verona and
Westmoreland area all his life. He married the former Marian Havener in Durhamville on
Oct. 4, 1916. She died March 26, 1951. He was a member of the Enunciation, Clark Mills.
He is survived by: five daughters; Mrs LeRoy (Rita) Peer of Rome, Mrs. Leo (Mary)
Schreiner of Bridgeport, Mrs Gordon (Teresa) West of Gainesville, Ga.,Mrs Gerald
(Veronica) Redman of Westmoreland, Mrs DeForest (Irene) Hinman of Vernon; four sons;
Bernard of Cortland, Kenneth of Durhamville, Leo of Madison and Karl of Canastota; one
brother, Joseph Harrison of Oneida; 20 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday from his home, South St., Westmoreland; and
at 9:30 a.m. from the Church of the Enunciation, Clark Mills, where a Solemn Requiem High
Mass will be celebrated. Interment will be St. Mary's Cemetery, Irish Ridge.
Friend may call at his home Tuesday and Wednesday at their convenience.
