Graveside rites for Kirby Frances Aycox, 71, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Reck Cemetery with the Rev. Don Waters officiating.
Born Sept. 1, 1929, at Wilson to Clint Nevlin and Annie Reves Aycox, he died Jan. 26, 2001, at a local hospital. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Sue Aycox, in 1956; and three brothers, R.T., Nevlin and Lonnie Aycox.
He married Betty Lou Wilson May 7, 1949, at Gainesville, Texas.
He attended school at Ardmore and moved to Muenster, Texas, as a young man where he worked on a farm. He later moved back to Ardmore. Aycox worked for Colvert Dairy, City of Ardmore and Carter County District 1 as a truck driver, retiring in 1989.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; three daughters, Mary Frances Raye, Arizona, Loreta Ann Owen, Clear Lake, Calif., and Donna Maye Harris, Ardmore; three sons, Timothy Dewane Aycox, Pensacola, Fla., Kirby Frank Aycox, Birmingham, Ala., and Donald Gene Aycox, Ardmore; two sisters, Jerry Webb, Ardmore, and Inez Hickman, Wilson; one brother, Marion Aycox, Gainesville; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be family members.
Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home.
