Goldie Ethel Bowyer, 88, died Monday afternoon in the Good Shepherd Hospital in Longview, TX. She was born in Denver, CO, to Purnel L. and Bertha P. Thomas Collicott. Goldie was living in Jefferson, TX, but has lived and worked in several places and was a former resident of Pineland, TX. In Pineland she worked in the Hines Nursing Home as a licensed practical nurse. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She is survived by her daughter Charlotte Jones and her husband Stuart of Shreveport, LA, her brother Verne Collicott of Jacksonville, FL, two sisters Violet Ward of Boulder, CO, and Rosie Clement of Tuson, AZ. Goldie is also survived by her granddaughter Dawn Fry and her husband Casey of Leander, TX. and two great grandsons, Seth and Asher. She was preceded in death by her husband Repha Bower.
Graveside services will be held in the Pineland Cemetery, Pineland, TX.
