Cecil William "Pete" Grimm Sr., 75, of 51 Plaza Drive., Apt. 103, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008, in Augusta Medical Center. Born July 26, 1932, in Bath County, he was a son of Everette Franklin and Lula Belle (Schooler) Grimm.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Luvenia Neff Grimm; his second wife, Janet Puffenberger Grimm; a daughter, Penny Lee Grimm; and a brother, Elmer Grimm. Surviving are seven children, Jeanie Forbes and husband, Mark, of Millboro, Sue Brinkley and husband, Wayne, of Stanardsville, Cecil Grimm Jr. and wife, Penny, of Ruckersville, Cathy Seale and husband, Jeff, of Madison, Charles Grimm and wife, Darlene, of Thornsburg, Terry Cox of Staunton and Jeff Grimm and wife, Daphne, of Vesuvius; four sisters, Gay Church of Covington, Joyce Grimm of Staunton, Frances Grimm of Millboro Springs and Pat Lacour of Millboro; six brothers, Buck Grimm of Clifton Forge, Tinker Grimm of Millboro Springs, Herman Grimm of Richmond, Donald Grimm of New Castle, Wayne Grimm of Covington and Joe Grimm of Millboro; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a special companion, Shirley Law of Middlebrook.
Prior to retirement, he was owner of C.W. Grimm Logging in Bath County for 32 years and was later employed by Knopp Enterprises. He was a long-time member of the Millboro Volunteer Fire Association. Mr. Grimm enjoyed his farm, his garden and hunting. He loved his kids and his grandbabies.
