Mae Ring Boykin, 91, of Savannah, GA,. died Sunday November 30, 2003 at Memorial Medical Health University. She was born in Candler County, GA, but lived most of her life in Savannah. She retired from Chatham County Board of Education after 25 years. She was a member of Savannah Progressive Primitive Baptist Church for 50 years. She belonged to the Emma Cowart Circle, Morning Star Circle, Golden Age Circle, Alton Forehan Bible Study Class, Golden Rule Council # 1 Daughters of America and Order of Amaranths, Court #A, and the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Anita Rogers, of Guyton, GA, Charles and Dorothy Deen, of Savannah, GA; a daughter and son-in-law, Betty and William McAllister, of Brunswick, GA; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, six great-great- grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Savannah Progressive Primitive Baptist Church. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Upper Lotts Creek Cemetery in Meter, GA.
