MANNSVILLE -- Funeral services for Pearl Lucille Barnes, 90, Ardmore, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Assembly of God Church. J.D. Leavelle will be officiating the service. Music will be arranged by Jackie Peoples. Interment will be at the Lone Cedar Cemetery, Mannsville. Services are under the direction of Watts Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Madill, Okla.
Pearl passed away September 3, 2006, at an Ardmore health care facility. She was born April 12, 1916, in Johnston County, Okla., to the late Perry Davis and Mary Magdalene Davis Ingle.
Pearl was raised in Johnston County where she lived most of her life. In 2004 she moved to the Heartland Plaza in Ardmore where she lived the rest of her life. Pearl married Dall Barnes Jr. on Oct. 3, 1931, in Ardmore and he preceded her in death on May 9, 1990. She was a charter member of the Assembly of God Church in Mannsville. Pearl and Dall enjoyed retailing and wholesaling minnows for 28 years.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Ruth & Hank Petty, Mannsville, and Ollie Boucher, Ardmore; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; brother, Perry Davis, Duncan; and sister Amy Renshaw, Midwest City.
Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son-in-law Robert Boucher, sister Dollie Dorer and brothers R.A. Davis, Lum Davis and Bill Davis.
Bearers are Bill Dorer, Bobby Dorer, Bill Bean, Pete Burton, Joe Pat Hughes and Darwin Renshaw. Honorary Bearers are Calvin Burton, Tommy Davis, Garland Davis, Roger Hartwell and grandchildren
