Marjorie "Tookie" Ann Campbell, 74, of Pesotum passed away at 3:50 p.m. Friday (Jan. 25, 2013) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Marjorie was born Feb 15, 1938, a daughter to Charles and Blanche White Kleiss.
Surviving are her children, Stanley Campbell of Moundville, Ala., Steven (Karen) Campbell of North Port, Ala., Lisa Campbell of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Charles (Zena) Campbell of Tuscola, Heather (Bill) Baird of Oakwood, and adopted by the family; daughter, Lynnette (Tony) Cramer of Tuscola; and sisters, Ruth Warf of Sadorus and Carol Stout of Urbana; and 11 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Marjorie enjoyed being part of the Boy Scouts and the scouting program for over 30 years. She became commissioner of the Boy Scouts in 1982, helping many young men cross over to Eagle Scouts. She also helped with the Annual Troop 66 Hog Roast. She was a caregiver all of her adult life.

She graduated from St. Francis Nursing Academy as a R.N. She worked for Dr. Deaver in Tuscola, then Carle Hospital in Urbana. She later worked at Jarman Center in Tuscola providing care for residents that later moved to Tuscola Nursing Home. Her life was all about caring for other people, giving of herself and not thinking of her own needs.

She was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pesotum until it closed its doors. She was also a member of the Altar and Rosary society. She not only followed her faith, she lived it as an example for us every day.

Her loves of her life were her children, grandchildren, extended family and friends and her beloved dog, Annie. She touched many lives with her kindness and love. She will be deeply missed.
