Nelda Ann Allen, 69, of El Dorado, Ark., passed away Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009, at the Life Touch Hospice House.
She was born Jan. 23, 1940, in Oak Grove to John David Allen and Clara Ruby Stephens. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28 at Oak Grove Methodist Church with Bros. David Hill and Edwin Fenton officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. till service time at the church.
Nelda loved to paint and embroider and was of the Baptist faith.
Preceding her in death were her father and a brother, Johnny Allen.
Survivors include her mother, Clara Ruby Allen of Marthaville; four daughters, Tilly Ramsey and husband Keith of El Dorado, Cheryl Bennett of El Dorado, Bicki Ryan and husband Norman of Pineville and Katrina Casto and husband Chris of Eros; a son, Robert Barling and wife Karen of Nurnberg, Germany; two sisters, Margaret Roberts and husband James and Judy West, all of Shreveport; two brothers, Jacky Allen and wife Karen of Hagewood and Richard Allen and wife Julie of Minden; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to a charity of donor's choice.
