Edith Jeannette "Wheezer" Douglass, 76, of Lumberton, Mississippi died Wednesday, January 7, 2015.

Graveside services at ALLEN LANDRUM CEMETERY on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 2:00 pm. The family will have visitation from 1:00 pm until time of services at the cemetery.

Ms. Douglass was born July 2, 1938 in Lumberton, Mississippi to James Mason and Floedia Danley McDonald. She was a retired teacher with Lumberton City Schools and a member of First Baptist Church in Lumberton.

Family members include three children, Maria (Roddy) Lofton, Cecilia (Raul) Perez, John Douglass; one sister, Altha (A.L. "Pud") Smith, four grandchildren, Justy Lofton, Jharett Lofton, Raul Perez, Jr., Brianna Perez; one nephew, Darryl (Becky) Smith; two great-nephews, Chase Smith and Shelton Smith.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers, James Mason McDonald, Jr., Hal McDonald, and Reid McDonald.
