Roydan Soder, 46, of 3453 Yankee Avenue in Stratford, Iowa passed away at the Boone county Hospital in Boone, Iowa on Thursday morning, March 6, 2008.
He was born on August 12, 1961 in Redfield, South Dakota the son of Wayne and Judy (Tuel) Soder.
In 1988, he married Rosa Linda Brobst at Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Roydan graduated from Stratford High School in 1979 and Platt College of Drafting and Design in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with a major in Electro-Mechanical Drafting and Design in 1987. He was employed at Intel Corporation in Albuquerque, New Mexico for 18 years as a Manufacturing Engineering Technician before moving back to Stratford in 2006.
He served in the US Air Force Reserves from 1984 to 1990 at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma as a weapons controls system technician.
He enjoyed reading, hunting, being outdoors and caring for animals.
His father Wayne in September of 2004 and his wife Rose in September 2001 preceded him in death.
Survivors include his mother Judy Soder of Stratford; 4 brothers Chris Soder and his wife Kristen of Boone, Iowa, Blake Soder and his wife Sharon of Sheldahl, Iowa, Shannon Soder of Boone, Iowa and Jason Soder and his wife Lisa of Marshalltown, Iowa; nieces and nephews.
The body was cremated.
A private family memorial service was held Tuesday morning, March 11th at the Stark-Welin Chapel in Boone, Iowa with Pastor Joe Lambert officiating.
Interment will be in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Cuba, New Mexico.
