Cecilio "Cecil" P. Alaniz
(March 8, 1958 - August 1, 2011)

Cecilio "Cecil" P. Alaniz, 53, a resident of Craddockville, VA, passed away Monday, August 1, 2011. He was the son of the late Adelaido Gonzales Alaniz and the late Dominga Pruneda Alaniz.
Cecil is survived by five brothers, Leo Alaniz, Vale Alaniz and his wife Lori, Gile Alaniz, all of Washington, Vince Alaniz and his wife Patty of Nassawadox, VA, Johnny Alaniz of Belle Haven, VA; five sisters, Janie Alaniz and Blanca Barraza, both of New Mexico, Tomacita Alaniz of Florida, Angie Blankenship and her husband Ricky of Melfa, VA, Isabel Turner and her husband Mike of Onley, VA; and numerous other family. He was predeceased by a brother, Roy Alaniz.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the graveside of Wachapreague Cemetery with Pastor Madron officiating. A visitation will be held Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 at the Doughty Funeral Home in Exmore. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.doughtyfuneralhome.com
