Received his Military Medal in June 1917.


Private Adams had been wounded on the battlefield and at great risk to himself, Private Cragg carried his friend to safety - however, despite his bravery, Private Adams unfortunately died of his wounds. Private Cragg won the Military Medal for this.


Son of John and Hannah Adams, of 37, Finchley Rd., Altrincham.

His father died 15 September 1917 aged 58 and his mother died 15 June 1948 aged 89.


He is also remembered on the Altrincham War Memorial.
