Wilda Oak Arnsparger of Covington was active in her church as long as her health allowed.
But even after she could not attend, 'Her church was very important to her,' said a daughter, Myrna Beth Lane of Covington.
'She never lost her faith,' Mrs. Lane said. 'In fact, Sunday night she told us God was building her mansion, and he was waiting for her.'
Mrs. Arnsparger died Tuesday morning at the St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit in Covington. She was 77.
Mrs. Arnsparger was born and reared in Carroll County. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint and weaving.
She belonged to First Christian Church in Covington, where she was active in the Christian Women's Fellowship.
'She was a very beautiful woman,' Mrs. Lane said.
Mrs. Arnsparger's husband, Ralph Cornell Arnsparger, died in 1974.
Other survivors include sons, Ralph Oak Arnsparger of Florence; Glenn G. Arnsparger of Covington and Roger Keith Arnsparger of Corbin; a daughter, Dorothy A. Brockman of Perry Park; a twin sister, Hilda Oak Ziegler of Ashville, N.Y.; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at noon Friday at First Christian Church in Covington. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Allison and Rose Funeral Home in Covington and at 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in English Cemetery.
