Jacob Abrams Dies; Services Are Set Today.

Jacob B. Abrams, 67, of 503 Rochelle Ave., died early Saturday in a Monroe hospital after an illness of nine months.

Mr. Abrams had been a resident of Monroe for the past 36 years and operated the Tick-Tock Jewelry Shop on DeSiard Street until his illness. He was a native of Shreveport and had been engaged in the jewelry trade for 42 years.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Hixson Brothers Funeral Chapel with Rabbi Martin Silverman officiating. Interment will follow in the Jewish cemetery.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. J. B. Abrams; two daughters, Mrs. Nathan Waldmen, of Kilgore, Tex., and Mrs. Irving Leibowitz of Monroe and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Josh Bodan, Leo Zipkes, Arthur Brueck, Elmer Marshall, Vernon Reddick, Otto Parker, Clyde Gilreath and Louis Masur.
