HAROLD (BUD) ANDERSON, JR.
Bud was only 77 when the Lord took him home on New Years Day and now joins his beloved wife Phyllis White Anderson who died in 2001, his parents Harold and Laura Middaugh Anderson, two sisters Mary Anderson Galpin and Bernice Anderson White and brother Charles (Chuck) Anderson in a much better place.
During grade school and high school years Bud attended Candor Central School. During his last four years there he played varsity football and JV basketball as a sophomore. As a senior he played one of the detectives in the senior play. In 1951 he graduated from CCS and joined the Air Force. He was stationed at Eglin Air Force Base and at a base in Newfoundland as an Air Policeman.
After his discharge from the service he married Phyllis White of Owego and had a family. Bud worked at Hollenbeck's Mill in Catatonk for several years, and then joined IBM eventually transferring to IBM in Raleigh, NC. After retirement, he moved to Port St. John, FL, where he lived out his remaining years, enjoyed riding his motorcycle and working at his favorite hobby, woodworking.
Survivors include one daughter of Frisco, Texas, several grandchildren, one brother of Candor, one brother of Lewisburg, Ohio, many nieces, nephews and a special female friend.
A service was held January 7th at the Apex Funeral Home Chapel. Bud was buried alongside his wife in Apex, NC. He will be missed by his many friends and family, especially his brothers.
