Suzan Blair Smith-Babcock, 53, of Prince George, British Columbia, Canada, died April 1, 2009, in Canada. Formerly of Alma, she was born May 5, 1955, in Louisville, Ky., and worked at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center for eight years before going to Canada in 1983.

She is survived by her husband, Gordon; three daughters, Cheryl Armstrong of Prince George, Teressa Valentini of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and Samantha "Sam" Babcock of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; two sons, Curtis and Zachary "Zack" Babcock, both of Prince George; her parents, Marvin and Corlene Smith of Alma; a sister, Lora Graves of Boaz, Ala.; two brothers, Robert Smith of Fort Smith and Scott Smith of Little Rock; and four grandchildren.

Graveside memorial service will be 2 p.m. today at Woody Memorial Cemetery near Rudy under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.Suzan Blair Smith Babcock Five, Five, Fifty-Five - 04/01/09 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Sue. Sue is survived by her loving husband Gordon Babcock, parents Corlene and Marvin Smith, sons Zachary and Curtis, daughters Samantha, Cheryl (Scott) Armstrong and Teresa (Neil) Valentini, brothers Robert (Rhonda) and Scott (Vanessa) Smith, sister Lora Graves, nieces and nephews Tim, Jinifer, Kevin, Jacci, Amanda and Caleb, grandchildren Brayden, Sarah, Joshua, the numerous relatives, friends and the many hearts that she had touched along the way. Suzan's wishes are to have a Celebration of Life which will be held at a location to be determined in Prince George, BC on May 2, 2009. Thereafter, she will be interred in Rudy, Arkansas where her loving parents reside. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Prince George Hospice House would be greatly appreciated.
