Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Rita Granillo Amaro, 82, of Mesquite, left her dwelling place on earth and entered eternal life to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, July 14, 2012 as a result of an automobile accident. She was born Dec. 14, 1929 in San Miguel, Sonora, Mexico to Miguel and Loretto Acedo Granillo.

Mrs. Amaro was a homemaker and member of the Catholic Church.

Those left to mourn her passing include her loving husband, Ignacio Amaro of the family home; three sons, Ignacio and Rafael Amaro both of Mesquite, Ricardo Amaro of La Mesa; four daughters, Loretto Amalia and Reyna Maria Amaro both of Nuevo Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, Mexico, Elsa Andrea and Margarita Amaro both of Mesquite; a brother, Florencio Granillo; and three sisters, Magdalena, Ana and Refugio Granillo all of Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. Other survivors include 28 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Leobaldo, Manuel and Rosalio Granillo; and a sister, Juana Granillo.

Family and friends will join together to celebrate the funeral mass in San Pedro Catholic Mission, in Del Cerro. The rite of committal and interment will follow in Missionary Ridge Cemetery in Mesquite where she will be laid to rest.

Serving as casket bearers will be Edgar, Rafael Jr., and Aaron Amaro, Aldo and Jorge Soto, Arturo Chafino, Javier and Jesus Ontiveros. Honorary bearers will be Raul Peņa and Victor Apodaca. Entrusted to Baca's Funeral Chapels of Las Cruces.
