Lois Ann Bartlett
Connelly Springs, N.C. - Lois Ann Bartlett, 66, of Connelly Springs, passed away Monday, April 7, 2008, at her residence.
Born Jan. 11, 1942, in McDowell County, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Retha Bartlett.
She retired from Century Furniture and was employed at Cracker Barrel.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Van Ward; a brother, Charles Bartlett; and a sister, Faye Carswell.
Ms. Bartlett is survived by sons, Roger Bailey Jr. of Hickory and Dennis Ward of Connelly Springs; daughter, Penny Ward Starnes of Connelly Springs; stepdaughter, Cheryl Bailey of Surfside Beach, S.C.; brothers, Lloyd Bartlett of Morganton and Ralph Bartlett of Marion; three sisters, Lucille Glenn of Spruce Pine, Grace Murphy of Marion and Clara Lee Pritchard of Burnsville; granddaughters, Ashli Bailey of Hickory, and Melody Ward of Statesville; grandson, Dustin Nobles of Hickory; and great-grandson, Landon Johnson of Statesville.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. today, Wednesday, April 9, 2008, in the chapel at Bass-Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jerry Stines officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 11 to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2008, in New Dale Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Spruce Pine, with the Rev. Steve Glenn officiating.
