Schaun N. Baird 21, Troy, Ohio, formerly of Zionsville, died June 30, 2007.

Schaun was born May 19, 1986 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Neal Joseph and Cherie Jane Hansell Baird. Cherie preceded her son in death. He was also preceded in death by his cousin, Veronica Baird and a stillborn sister, Maggie Baird.

Schaun was a 2005 graduate of Zionsville High School and a 2006 graduate of the Hobart Institute of Welding. He was employed at United Group Services as a welder specializing in stainless and exotic alloy pipe welding. Schaun also enjoyed all shooting sports.

Schaun is survived by his parents, Neal and Laura Baird; his sister, Kaeleigh; his brother, Dylan; his grandmother, Dorothy Hart; and his companion, Mary Johnson.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 1870 W. Oak St., Zionsville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 5, 2007 at the church. Burial will follow the mass at Salem Cemetery, Zionsville.
