David was the son of Zachariah Albaugh II and Susannah Ullery.
First married to Maria Harter(Herder) in Frederick MD. Their children were *Jacob, David II, Zachariah, Elizabeth, Hannah, and *Sarah.
He then married Elizabeth Funderburg (VonDerberg)sometime before 1798 in Frederick MD. Their children were *Samuel, *Daniel, and *Catherine.
David was an elder and minister of the Carson Valley Church of the Brethren which he organized.
He and Elizabeth are buried at Cross Keys in the Carson Valley Church of the Brethren Cemetery which was once part of his farm.
