David was the son of Zachariah Albaugh II and Susannah Ullery.
First married to Maria Harter(Herder) in Frederick MD. Their children were Jacob, David II, Zachariah, Elizabeth, Hannah, and Sarah.
He then married Elizabeth Funderburg (VonDerberg)sometime before 1798 in Frederick MD. Their children were Samuel, Daniel, and Catherine.
David was an elder and minister of the Carson Valley Church of the Brethren which he organized.
He and Elizabeth are buried at Cross Keys in the Carson Valley Church of the Brethren Cemetery which was once part of his farm.
Son's Marriage: Daniel Albaugh to Anna Stiffler, 1839, Blair County PA. Hollidaysburg Register and Inquirer, 2/27/1839.
"Anna Stiffler, daughter of Henry, married Daniel Albaugh of Allegheny Twp., Feb. 21, 1939."
