David's death certificate says that his father was George Baker born in Kentucky. It is possible his father is George Robison Baker who married Mary Polly McCollum in Linn County, MO in 1842. They did have a son named David. David was first married to Victoria G. Bohler on 29 Nov. 1887. He was secondly married to Matilda "Tillie" Walsh on 13 Dec. 1907. His 3rd wife was Mrs. Florence May Boyse, married on 8 June 1914.

Well Known Princeton Man Passes Away
Princeton, Jan. 8 - David S. Baker, a well known local resident, passed away at his home here this morning at 5 o'clock. He was aged 57 years(sic), 7 months and 12 days.
Deceased had been a resident of Colusa county for more than forty years, having been in the saloon business in Colusa previous to coming here about sixteen years ago. While here he conducted a notion store. He is survived by a widow living in San Francisco and a number of nieces and nephews. He was a brother of the late Steve Baker of Grimes.
He was a member of Colusa council, Knights of Columbus. The funeral will be held Monday from Our Lady of Lourdes church at Colusa and will be in charge of J. D. McNary & Son.

Note: It is not likely David was really a brother of Stephen Baker of Grimes since his father was named George Baker and Stephen was a son of Alfred.
