Mrs. D. S. Baker Passed Away
Death called Mrs. Tillie Baker, wife of D. S. Baker at her home in Princeton last Saturday evening at 7:15. Mrs. Baker was taken suddenly ill Friday night with heart failure, which resulted in death.
Mrs. Baker was a native of Ireland and came to Colusa several years ago, later she and her husband moved to Princeton and assumed charge of the Princeton Hotel. She was 34 years of age, and on account of her many acts of kindness and genial disposition had gained many friends, who were shocked and grieved at her unexpected death. She was a devout Christian and was a member of the Catholic church.
Besides her husband she leaves one sister Mrs. Frank Hochstrat of near Colusa, and other relatives. The funeral will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock from the Catholic church in Colusa.
