Carl Gottlieb Baer of Waldorf passed away at the age of 76 at Immanuel hospital, Mankato, on Tuesday. Mr. Baer had been ill for six months. He was born on his parents farm in St. Mary's township, Waseca county on December 26, 1888 and attended rural school. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Oswald Baer. For many years, he farmed in St. Mary's township and was married to Esther Geisler of Janesville at the Janesville Lutheran church June 7, 1920. She survives. Two sons, George of Excelsior, Minnesota and Raymond of Pemberton; a daughter, Mrs. Eugene (Bonita) Berry of San Antonio, Texas; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild survive. Also surviving are two brothers, Walter of Blomkest, Minnesota and Bernard of Waseca. Services will be conducted at the First Lutheran church, Waldorf with the Rev. Henry Buchholz officiating at 2 p.m. on Thursday. Interment will be made in Waldorf cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening and until 11 a.m. Thursday at Arnoldt's Funeral Home, Janesville and at the church until time of services. Pall bearers are August Fennert, Armin Tesch, Ira Southwick, Dwain Hoffman, Marvin Flemming and Herman Krienke.
