Hans U. Anderson, 83, Moorhead, died Friday, May 10, 2002, in his home.
Mr. Anderson was born Aug. 16, 1918 in Clearbrook, Minn., where he grew up and attended school. On Nov. 15, 1942, he married Gladys Landmark in Alida, Minn. They lived in Bagley, Minn.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1944-46, in Germany and France. After his military discharge, he returned to Bagley. In 1950, he moved to Moorhead. He wroked for Meineke-Johnson Construction Co., Fargo. He worked as a carpenter for 30 years. He retired in 1980. The couple then moved near Lake Ida in Minnesota. In 1996, they returned to Moorhead.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Larry (Vicki), Moorhead; a daughter, Jancie (John) Malvey, West Des Moines, Iowa; a brother, Conrad (Gloria), Livermore, Calif.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation: Today from 4-8, with a prayer service at 7, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Funeral: Monday at 11 in Cormorant Lutheran Church near Lake Park, Minn.
Burial: Cormorant Lutheran Cemetery near Lake Park.
