Dora, beloved wife of Victor Barnett died Saturday afternoon at.4 :30 o'clock at her home on Gunter's Valley of consumption. For several years she had suffered with the disease. Two years ago Mr. Barnett took her to Texas with the hope that the change of climate would cure her, but It failed. She returned to the home of her birth to be among friends until the last. She was the daughter of H. S. Spradlin and was 30 years old.
A devoted husband, two little boys, aged 4 and 6 years, a fond father, four loving sister s and two brothers remain to mourn for one who has gone to a better world.
The sisters are Mrs. C. E. Kimberlin. Mrs. J. N. Barnett. Mrs. John Henry and Mr. J. A. Reish, and the brothers, John W. and Pete Spradlin, all of whom reside In Howell county.
Elder D. W. Epley conducted the funeral services Monday, which were held at New Hope Baptist Church, of which the deceased had been a faithful member. The obsequies were attended a large concourse of sorrowing friends who came to show their grief with the heart broken relatives.
The remains was interred in New Hope cemetery to await the resurrection. In their bereavement the relatives have the tenderest sympathies of the entire community.
