HEAVENER Clarence Benson, 72, of Heavener died Wednesday, June 30, 1999, in Poteau. He was a resident of Benson Lane and attended the First Assembly of God. He was a veteran of the Korean war.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday in the First Assembly of God Church of Heavener with burial at Hontubby Cemetery of Heavener under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home of Heavener.

He is survived by seven daughters, Sharon Smallwood, Bonnie Dehart, Kathy Edwards, all of Heavener, Mary Green of Poteau, Linda Benson of Howe, Okla., Penny Williams of Liberty Mounds, Okla. and Lisa Goins of Clearlake, Iowa; two sons, T.C. Benson of Heavener and Norman Benson of Poteau; one sister, Dena Stacy of Shady Point, Okla.; five brothers, J. C. and D. B. Benson, both of Howe and Orville, Delmer and James Benson, all of Heavener; 33 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
