Bobby was a welder and a supervisor in construction of commercial buildings and structures.
He is survived by two sons, James Bobby Butler, Jr. of Center, Texas and Marlin Butler and wife Brittany of Nacogdoches, Texas, his daughter Brandi Meck of Gary, Texas, his grandchildren, Wendy, Crystal, Madi, Dakoda and Erin and six great grandchildren. He is also survived by five sisters, Virginia Butler of Brookeland, Texas, Terry Gandy of Channelview, Texas, Linda Kelley, Myrtle Hogue and Louise Wright all of Hemphill.
Bobby was preceded in death by his father Marlin Butler and his mother Pauline Easley Kelley.
Funeral services will be at 11am, Tuesday, March 22, 2011 in the Starr Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow in the Springhill Cemetery near Hemphill.
