Dodge City - Mrs. Olive Y. Alder, 48, died Monday at Trinity Hospital, Dodge City, after a short illness. Born Nov. 30, 1921 at Plains, she was married to J.B. Carl Alder, May 26, 1938, at Coldwaiter. She had been a resident of Dodge City since 1964, moving here from Ellsworth. She had been an employe of the Dodge City Senior High School Cafeteria.
She was past matron of the Eastern Star, Wilmore.
Survivors include the widower; sons, Donald D., Great Bend: Jamie, Dodge CIty; daughters, Mrs. Richard Barta, Ellsworth; Mrs. Ed Holt, Phoenix, Ariz.; Mrs. Greg Shipe, Lawrence; Mrs. Dale Fromm, Dodge City; mother, Mrs. Carrie Myers, Plains; brothers, Harold Myers, Leoti; Dan Myers, Meade; Kenneth and Lewis Myers, both of Liberal; sisters, Mrs. Verda Remick, Mexico; Mrs. Mary Farley, Hutchinson.
