The Daily Notes, Canonsburg PA, Wednesday 20 October 1920, front page - FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. WILLIAM GUNDY - The funeral of MRS. JANE FAWCETT, widow of WILLIAM GUNDY, took place at the residence of her daughter, MRS. MARY LESNETT, Monday afternoon at 2:30. A large number of friends of the deceased were gathered to show their respect to an old citizen of the community. The services were conducted by her pastor, the Rev. J. H. Ward. He spoke very feelingly of her faithful Christian life, and of her devotion to the church to which she had been so much attached and to which she rendered a hearty support for many years. Mrs. Gundy united with the church at 11 years of age and at that time was its youngest member. Whenever able to attend the services she was always present. The appropriate musical numbers were very impressively rendered by Mrs. Lavinna M. Boon, assisted by her sister at the organ.
