Daughter of Andrew and Mary Harvey Giffin. Second wife of William Boyce. Mother of ten children: Margaret W., Juliette D., James H., Andrew Giffin, Isaac Lincoln, William John, Thomas S., Mary F., Sarah and Elizabeth J. Boyce.
The Daily Notes, Canonsburg PA, Thursday 31 March 1910, front page - WELL-KNOWN WOMEN ANSWER SUMMONS -- Mrs. Margaret Kennedy and Mrs. Mary Boyce Pass Away, Both at an Advanced Age -- LIVED EAST OF CANONSBURG - MRS. MARY BOYCE, widow of the late CAPTAIN WILLIAM BOYCE, died at her residence, near Boyce Station, Wednesday, March 30, 1910. Mrs. Boyce was born in Cecil Township, on what is now the Rowley farm, 79 years ago, and lived in the same vicinity all her life. She is survived by two sons, ISAAC L. BOYCE of Bridgeville, and WILLIAM J. BOYCE of Hills Station. Ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Boyce was an excellent Christian woman and her death will carry sorrow to a large circle of friends. The funeral services will be held on Friday, April 1st, at 12:30, at the Fawcett M. E. Church.
