She is dau of William Anderson and was widow of John Tompkins Jr. before her marriage to Abraham Almony in 1836.

Mary Ann Anderson had 6 children - Tacy and William by 1st husband John Tompkins Jr. then she had 2 children during her widowhood by unknown man/men - Angeline and John Tompkins (later named Fitzpatrick). She then married Abraham Almony and had 2 children Anderson and Otho S.

COURT: The Petition of Joseph Strawbridge, administrator of John Tomkins deceased was read to court the he had ascertained that the personal estate of the deceased will be insufficient by about $280 and that he died seized of a tract of unpatented land containing 75 acres therefore he prays that the court authorizes the sale. And the said John Tomkins died intestate and left a widow and two children minors lawful issue. Orphans Court Date May 9 1826 P p 18

COURT: Joseph Strawbridge administrator of John Tompkins Jr. reported that on May 30 last he sold at public auction the lands and highest bidder was Mary Ann Tompkins the same being sold subject to all claims with regards to dower or equalizing the several parts of the estate of deceased's father John Tompkins Sr. or otherwise which deceased was subject also to the commonwealth. He died owner of a tract in Fawn Twp containing 165 acres , a plantation and track former Henry McCleary in Fawn Twp containing 200 acres, and a plantation formerly Leipers place in Lower Chanceford Twp containing 300 acres and 45 unimproved acres in Fawn twp ... By deed of Allen Anderson admin of estate of William Anderson Esq pursuant to Orphans Court of York dated April 1 1829, Mary Ann Tompkins widow, became seized in fee simple of a tract of land containing 165 acres in Fawn Twp adjoining lands of William Blain, Allen Anderson and a tract late belonging to the heirs of James Anderson deceased now in the possession of Abraham Heaps. Whereas the said Mary Ann Tompkins afterwards was married to Abraham Almony who is also party hereto. to John Almony for $1 paid unto said Abraham Almony and Mary Ann now his wife the said Abraham and Mary Ann sold said land to John Almony. DEED: Allen Anderson to Mary Ann Tompkins dated Apr 1 1829 between Allen Anderson of Fawn Twp administrator of William Anderson late of same place deceased at the time of his death who died intestate of the one part and Mary Ann Tompkins widow of the township tract of land surveyed as no 2828 granted to Robert Travise dated Feb 20 1767 which application was sold to Allen Anderson father of aforesaid William and then William Anderson died intestate the said William Anderson Esq being oldest son of the said Allen Anderson deceased agreeably to the law at the time became heir to two share and he paying off the heirs of Allen Anderson deceased they the heirs gave to William Anderson Esq a release of all their rights to the said tract containing 165 acres. recorded Sep 8 1840 3Q p. 299
