MOCKSVILLE - Lois Marie Cranford Broadway, 61, of Paw Paw Lane, received her wings at home on Saturday, June 20, 2009.
Lois was born in Surry County on March 15, 1948, to the late Otis Franklin Cranford and Edith Ray O'Neal. Lois was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Mocksville. She was a homemaker who enjoyed loving and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed living life through her faith in Jesus Christ.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Cranford.
Lois is survived by her husband of almost 45 years, William Hedrick Broadway; four daughters, Twyla (Marty) Smith, Teresa Broadway, Marie Register and Patricia (Vance) Ebright, all of Mocksville; eight grandchildren, Keri, Jessica and Johnathon Smith, Toni and Jason Register, Tiffany French and Nicole and Cody Ebright; one great-grandson, Logan Register; two brothers, Andrew (Vickie) Cranford of Cool Springs and Tony (Sandra) Cranford of Mocksville; two sisters, Frances (Ed Ray) Lewis of Cooleemee and Lisa (Jerry) Dickens of Mocksville; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Service and Burial: The service to celebrate the life of Lois will be held on Tuesday, June 23 at 11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, Hwy 601 South, with the Rev. Jim Gryder officiating. She will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation: The family will receive friends on Monday, June 22 from 7-9 p.m. at Davie Funeral Service and at other times the family will be at Paw Paw Lane in Mocksville.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Storehouse for Jesus, 115 Hwy 64 E, Mocksville, NC 27028.
