William "Bill" Shirley, 81, of Owenton, died April 22, 2006, at his residence. Born Jan. 25, 1925, in Owen County, he was the son of the late William Franklin and Ollie Boss Shirley.
He is survived by his son, Steve Shirley of Poplar Grove; a grandchild; two step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Jeanette Palmer Shirley, and his brother, Franklin Ray Shirley.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. April 28 at the Main Street location of McDonald & New Funeral Homes.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. April 30. with Bro. David Wotier officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Grove Cemetery.
