Agnes Vandervort Smith was born October 7, 1938, in Raymondville and died October 31, 1967 in a car accident. She was united in marriage to Ray Smith, and to this union seven children were born. Four c h i l d r e n , Sylvia, 6 years ,Kathryn, 4 years, Melissa, 1 year and John, 2 years were killed in the same accident. Surviving are her husband, Ray, and three children, Marcie Rosemary , Loreta and Sonie of the home; four grandparents; three sisters, Mrs, Sylvia Cook and Mrs. Billy Jeanette Cook , and Mrs. Laura Mae Robinson all of Hartshorn; two brothers , Robert of Independence, Mo. and Leo of Summersville. She united with the Baptist Church at an early age. Funeral services were held Friday November 3, in the Evans-Elliott Chapel with the Rev. George Greeney officiating. Burial was in the Valley Center Cemetery.
